Sussex Optical is locally owned and operated by Martin Young, an Optometrist with 20 years experience. As an independently run practice, Sussex Optical offers its patients a more personalised service and greater continuity of care. The practice was established by Steven Pain 17 years ago, and Steve will continue to help out with our eye testing from time to time. The familiar face of Melinda Dobeson will continue to capably handle our reception and dispensing duties. Sussex Optical has up-to-date eye examination equipment, including Visual Field assessment for Glaucoma and Retinal Photography for Diabetes and Macular Degeneration screening. We keep a wide range of quality eyewear and contact lenses at prices to suit everyone, competitively priced against all our competition (including Italian owned OPSM/Budget Eyewear and UK owned SpecSavers).
